Nonetheless its clear, fruity nose and matching palate (melon, pineapple, ripe apple) put it firmly in the new wave of white Rioja whereby clean youthful fruit is preferred to heavy oaking and over reliance on Malvasia. Best drunk cool, not well chilled.
