In every portion of Entremont Comté cheese, you will find the generosity and know-how of our master ripeners. After being made in the cheese dairy, the cheeses receive special care in the cellar, to offer you a Comté that is soft and pleasant to the palate.
Comté is more than just a cheese: it’s an icon. This semi-hard, raw-milk Alpine cheese from French producer Entremont is made from the milk of local Montbéliarde and Simmental cows. It’s matured for six months to achieve a rounded and satisfying flavour. Comté is nutty, savoury and subtly sweet all at once.
You can enjoy this cheese just as it is, perhaps with a few grapes, and ideally at room temperature. It also adds a special note to pasta dishes, and of course it’s a key ingredient in fondue. In a sandwich, Comté is a natural match for strong and distinctive flavours such as smoked ham and cornichons.
